REPAIRS & SERVICING

I own a BULOVA watch and live in the UK, how do I go about getting it repaired?

You need to answer the following questions in order to ascertain the correct procedure with regard to the repair of your watch. This is because watches purchased in the USA/Europe at different times may need different spare parts which are only available from the correct service centre. Please choose the link below that applies to your watch:

1. Watches purchased in Europe from 2003 onwards

If your watch was purchased in Europe from 2003 onwards AND has a tiny style number printed on the dial below the 6 o'clock position, it was manufactured by BULOVA SWISS. It can therefore be sent to our in-house repair workshop (if there is no style number printed on the dial, see point 2 below.

Please send your watch by SPECIAL DELIVERY POST with a covering letter. Watches accompanied with a valid warranty will be repaired free of charge. Please include a cheque payable to "Grenchen Time Ltd" for £5.88 to enable us to return the watch by Special Delivery post. For watches no longer covered by warranty, we will send a written estimate and request payment before proceeding with the repair. Chargeable services to movements are guaranteed for a period of one year. Please send your watch to:

2. Watches purchased in Europe from 1980-2003

If your watch was purchased in Europe between 1980 and 2003 AND has no tiny style number printed on the dial below the 6 o'clock position, it must be sent to the BULOVA international service centre, ZMT, in Germany. This is because we do not have the necessary spare parts in the UK to effect a repair. To send to Germany, we recommend using the Royal Mail's "International Signed For" service. Upon receipt of your watch at ZMT, it will be inspected and a written estimate will be sent to you prior to any work being carried out.

4. Vintage BULOVA or ACCUTRON tuning fork watches

Although to this day we continue to use the term "Accutron" on some modern quartz and automatic models, production of tuning fork "Accutrons" ceased in 1977. Today, Bulova Accutron watches are collector's items.

Vintage BULOVA and ACCUTRON tuining fork watches can only be repaired by specialists as the technology used is unique. It is also difficult to obtain spare parts.

We are delighted to recommend the Croydon Service Centre, established 25 years ago by Mr Alan Lazarus M.B.H.I. Croydon Service Centre do have a substantial stock of spare parts for Accutron watches and would be very pleased to deal with your enquiry. Please contact:
